This is a copy of The Numbers Racket CD-ROM, which I prepared back in 1998. I am presenting it here, unedited, for historical purposes. Obviously most if not all of the information is 'out of date' today, but think of it as a snapshot of what the Spy Numbers scene was like in the late 1990s.

Strich

Strich

Another extremely bizzare European Numbers Station. The format of this station is to transmit a three digit identifier, followed by a / (pronounced strich) and two digits specifying the number of groups to be sent. For quite some time, no messages were sent. Rarely, some broadcasts have been monitored actually transmitting messages.

The following frequencies were reported:

2805
3225
3823
4006
4015
4030
4780
4882
5050
5157
5247
5445
5860
6430
7740
7840
Transmissions have been recently reported on Tuesdays at 2100 on 3823, 4015, 4780, 5050 Khz. Also on Wednesdays at 0800 on 6430, 7840 kHz. The station changes frequencies often, making it difficult to follow.

This station is identical in format to the English language Oblique station.
