This is a copy of The Numbers Racket CD-ROM, which I prepared back in 1998. I am presenting it here, unedited, for historical purposes. Obviously most if not all of the information is 'out of date' today, but think of it as a snapshot of what the Spy Numbers scene was like in the late 1990s.

Czech Drums and Trumpets

Czech Drums and Trumpets

Here's a rather bizzare Numbers Station. The broadcast opens with a trumpet playing Taps (The Last Post), which is them followed by a rather up-beat drums and trumpets march. After this introduction, a YL reads the traffic, 5FG groups in Czech.

To my knowledge, this station (like so many of the extremely strange Numbers Stations) has only been heard in Europe. Transmissions are in the late evening European time, generally in the 4 to 6 MHz range.

The following frequencies have been reported:

4740
5500
5600
6675
8070
