Two Letter

Here's an example of the demise of what was a vast network of Numbers Stations. In their heyday, there were almost 100 callsigns on dozens of frequencies. Today, only a few remain. These stations were first reported in the early 1970's, and may date back into the 1960's.

Here's an example of a transmission...

53 Groups               The number of 3/2 digit groups which will follow

Here is a complete broadcast from station Listen to the station Mike Delta (ENIGMA E16) which can still be heard. This broadcast was heard on September 27, 1997, on 13890 kHz USB, starting at 1400 UTC.

Some recent loggings include Mike Delta on 13890 USB at 1400 on Saturday, and Golf Kilo noted at 1900, 1930, 2000, 2030, 2100, 2130, with the time varying with the day of the week.
